Massachusetts Travel Protocol for Visitors

Effective August 1st, 2020, new Massachusetts regulations and requirements have been put into place to help contain the spread of COVID-19 and keep transmission as low as possible. The regulations require all visitors, including returning residents, to register arrival and confirm if you meet exemption requirements or agree to self quarantine for two weeks.

All travelers (with exception to travelers from low risk states), including returning residents, are required to do the following:

  • Complete the Massachusetts Travel Form prior to arrival, unless you are visiting from a lower-risk state designated by the Department of Public Health.

  • Produce a negative COVID-19 test result that has been administered up to 72-hours prior to your arrival in Massachusetts or quarantine for 14 days

As of August 1, 2020, lower risk states include the following states below. Please see MA’s travel protocol for the most up to date list.

  • Connecticut

  • Hawaii

  • Maine

  • New Hampshire

  • New Jersey

  • New York

  • Rhode Island

  • Vermont

We are not monitors and do not have reporting requirements.

We hope that you are safe and well and meet the exemptions. Thank you for your efforts in keeping our community healthy.
