Where to Hydrate Your Skin in a Cold Boston Winter

South End Spots to Hydrate Your Skin for a Cold Boston Winter

Boston winters come with beautiful snowfall that turns parks into wonderlands, adorable christmas lights and holiday cheer, and…dry skin. It can get cold out here! So cold that so we’re only including places close by that are walkable.

Here are some spots to sit back, relax, and hydrate that gorgeous face of yours.

Skoah, 641A Tremont St

First first launched in Vancouver as a full service spa; so you know they know how to combat cold weather. They established such a strong reputation for their facials that now that’s all they offer. Their spa is designed to be approachable and they consider their facials to be akin to a personal training session for your skin. The workouts include deep cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, and customized masks. They also sell a product line with 5 proprietary products.

Back Bay Skincare and Spa, 509 Columbus Ave

One of our favorite ways to hydrate our skin quickly is by getting a hydrafacial. Hydrafacials are medical grade facials that exfoliate, cleanse, and hydrate the skin, leaving it revitalized and glowing. Dubbed the name “the bride facial” because it does not leave any marks or irritate the skin, this facial is perfect if you have an event coming up. After the facial is done, they show you all of the dead skin they removed. You’ll be satisfied to see all the work that was accomplished!

Follian, 53 Dartmouth

Follain is a skincare and makeup store that carries an assortment of clean beauty products with no toxic chemicals. The store is adorable and feels like a little oasis in the South End. The staff is extremely knowledgable and provides great recommendations based on your skin type. Try the Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator - it is a little pricy but if you close your eyes while spraying it, you’ll bring the spa to you. It also smells magical.
